Scope: This AIR considers the issue of proper design guidance for high voltage for components/subsystems utilized in MEA. This document is focused on partial discharge mechanisms including corona and does not address personnel safety. Key areas of concern are power conversion, including electrical machinery and associated electric drives, as well as management and distribution systems used on MEA. The interaction between components and subsystems will be discussed.

【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiestherequirementsfortestingitemsofequipmentintendedforuseonrailwayvehicleswhicharesubsequentlysubjectedtovibrationsandshockowingtothenatureofrailwayoperationalenvironment.Togainassurancethatthequalityoftheequipmentisacceptable,ithastowithstandtestsofreasonabledurationthatsimulatetheserviceconditionsseenthroughoutitsexpectedlife.Simulatedlong-lifetestingcanbeachievedinanumberofwayseachhavingtheirassociatedadvantagesanddisadvantages,thefollowingbeingthemostcommon:a)amplification:wheretheamplitudesareincreasedandthetimebasedecreased;b)timecompression:wheretheamplitudehistoryisretainedandthetimebaseisdecreased(increaseofthefrequency);c)decimation:wheretimeslicesofthehistoricaldataareremovedwhentheamplitudesarebelowaspecifiedthresholdvalue.Theamplificationmethodasstatedina)above,isusedinthisstandardandtogetherwiththepublicationsreferredtoinClause2;itdefinesthedefaulttestproceduretobefollowedwhenvibrationtestingitemsforuseonrailwayvehicles.However,otherstandardsexistandmaybeusedwithprioragreementbetweenthemanufacturerandthecustomer.Insuchcasestestcertificationagainstthisstandardwillnotapply.WhereserviceinformationisavailabletestscanbeperformedusingthemethodoutlinedinAnnexA.Ifthelevelsarelowerthanthosequotedinthisstandard,equipmentispartiallycertifiedagainstthisstandard(onlyforserviceconditionsgivingfunctionaltestvalueslowerthanorequaltothosespecifiedinthetestreport).Whilstthisstandardisprimarilyconcernedwithrailwayvehiclesonfixedrailsystems,itswideruseisnotprecluded.Forsystemsoperatingonpneumatictyres,orothertransportationsystemssuchastrolleybuses,wherethelevelofshockandvibrationclearlydifferfromthoseobtainedonfixedrailsystems,thesupplierandcustomercanagreeonthetestlevelsatthetenderstage.Itisrecommendedthatthefrequencyspectraandtheshockduration/amplitudebedeterminedusingtheguidelinesinAnnexA.Equipmenttestedatlevelslowerthanthosequotedinthisstandardcannotbefullycertifiedagainsttherequirementsofthisstandard.Anexampleofthisistrolleybuses,wherebybody-mountedtrolleybusequipmentcouldbetestedinaccordancewithcategory1equipmentreferredtointhestandard.Thisstandardappliestosingleaxistesting.Howevermulti-axistestingmaybeusedwithprioragreementbetweenthemanufacturerandthecustomer.Thetestvaluesquotedinthisstandardhavebeendividedintothreecategoriesdependentonlyupontheequipment’slocationwithinthevehicle.
